Thanksgiving with the Parkes
Mom and Dad had a great time visiting the Parke family for Thanksgiving. Besides having a scrumptous dinner of turkey and the works, we visited the science center in Phoenix...and had a great time discovering so many new things. Donovan and Cameron liked the monster trucks, paper airplanes, marble machine and so much more. We saw CARS and enjoyed stories, playing, sword fighting and visiting. Thanks Ginger and Daniel for letting us sleep in your soft bed. Come and visit us next month.
Halloween fun
Dad has always been the champion pumkins carver, with his detailed nature and meticulus steady-handed approach.
We had a total of 9 children visit our home Halloween night. Most of the little folks have moved from our neighborhood and we bought some extra candy so we are saving all the old left over candy for you when you come for Christmas. Bet you can't wait.

Moving forward
Our yard needed some work so Dad has been busy pruning, mowing and cleaning up things. Our orange tree needs a few kids to come and eat its fruit...how about at Christmas time. We are trying to replace our food storage, since we gave it away 3 yrs. ago. So, we bought a freezer and made a trip to Costco to get us started.
Mom and Dad are busy in their church callings. Linda, stake YW president, is having fun visiting the ward young women and feeling like she is back with Hermanas in the mission days. Dad is a counselor to the Ventura Mission President, Ellsworth, and visits the stake presidents in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria and Santa Barbara each month. He loves hob-knobbing with such wonderful men in the church.
